WE ARE MOTHERS, FATHERS, SISTERS AND BROTHERS. WE ARE MEN AND WOMEN, CHILDREN AND ADULTS. WE ARE FAMILY, WE ARE COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STRENGTH AND SELF RESILIENCY.
In underserved communities, inequities are interconnected. This means that the solutions we create to address those inequities must also be interconnected. Founded in 2006, Men and Women United for Youth and Families is a nonprofit community organization with a comprehensive, holistic approach to improving the lives of the residents of Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus Counties, NC.
Our mission is to promote education, resource awareness and to provide services to assist in creating independent and self–sufficient youth and families in our community. We believe that each family is the driving force behind their own success. Our programs assist, enrich, and enlighten each family member with valuable resources and educational opportunities to enhance the quality of their lives.

He has over 20 years of experience in the Human Services field, having worked for organizations such as the New Hanover County Department of Social Services, Columbus County Mental Health and the Wilmington Housing Authority. In addition to his work with Men and Women United, he currently serves as a Counselor for The Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccomaw, and on the Feast Down East Board of Directors, where he has been a member for several years.
